Everyone is back for the sequel to one of my fave movies from last year The Maze Runner. Dylan O'Brien as the lead again is such a brilliant casting choice.
This time out of the maze the kids are taken to a base where other kids from the maze are. We find out who put them in the maze, why most people stay in the maze, and what is just beyond the maze. I don't want to give away spoilers, but you literally cannot trust anyone or get attached to anyone. Any character may betray you and/or die.
This is one of my fave tween movie series ever. Cannot wait till they're all done so I can own the series. 5 out of 5 stars easily.
Johnny Depp as Whitey Bulger...yes he will be nominated for an Oscar. It's automatic. There is no question Depp was made for this role. He may even win over Eddie Redmayne who will play the first transwoman in The Danish Girl (since Eddie won last year and this is Johnny's career defining role). But Johnny isn't the only one that shines.
Joel Edgerton, Jesse Plemmons (Meth Damon from "Breaking Bad"), Rory Cochrane, Kevin Bacon, the list of amazing supporting cast goes on for days. Headed by Scott Cooper (one of the hottest looking directors ever) this movie explains alot but not the most important thing.
When I see a movie about someone as big as Whitey Bulger I want to know WHY. Why does he kill? Why does he hate? Why does he think he's above the law? That's the one thing in the script that isn't answered. Johnny does a great job acting, but he never acts in a scene that makes me get (not agree) why Whitey is so evil. Then again maybe that's the point of the writer. I just can't believe people are just evil to be evil. I truly believe they end up that way through their own interpretation of life.
Overall 3 stars out of 5. Living in the Boston area it is sad to hear the stories of locals affected by Whitey's crimes. Families changed forever. I guess that's also part of the reason I want to know why. But mark my words Johnny will win the Best Actor in a Leading Role Oscar.
Rupert Friend taking over for Timothy Olyphant is a perfect casting. I loved this movie, and hope this series continues. How is Rupert not a bigger star? And Zachary Quinto was AMAZING as well. Who knew he could do action scenes? 4 stars outta 5.

So things have changed drastically for me.
I came out as a transwoman on August 1st. I won't lie I was a bit nervous. I didn't have any money set aside for hair, nails, or clothes. I don't have a therapist yet. And I feel insecure about my body right now. My work has been AMAZING! They knew my date and put my new name up on my desk plague. They've been calling me Emily as well. By far the funniest movie of the summer. I haven't laughed that hard since Trainwreck. It's a sequel that should be followed as a standard. Take the original, turn it on its ear, then make a sequel that stays faithful to the original.
There is a reason for everything happening in this movie and I love every bit of it. Ed Helms is the husband every woman (and gay man) wants. Christina Applegate is the wife with a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in her. And the kids are insanely annoying. lol Sorry but they are...until they get into a fight that sends a clear message to every bully.
Overall I enjoyed it. Definitely characters I would continue watching the franchise for. I always did hate when ppl waited till the end of the movie to grow a spine, but whatever. Still a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
Got bored one day and randomly saw Entourage without ever seeing one episode of the TV show. I liked it as a standalone movie. It was funny and a touch schmaltzy, but overall enjoyed it. HUGE plot holes because it had to go by 2 hours instead of 12 episodes. But I'd give it 3 stars.
I know another Mark Wahlberg project. I've become fascinated ever since I heard Adrian Grenier has a smelly peen. LOL I know it's juvenile but you don't hear that kinda stuff in Hollywood. Gives him an air of mystery (Does he or doesn't he?).

I've tried my best not to 100% support any Mark Wahlberg projects. He's a homophobe. He's racist. And just seems like an a-hole all the way round. But Ted 2 was funny...gross and funny. Mostly because of Seth MacFarlane though not him.
In this sequel Ted wants to marry his girlfriend but must prove he's a human in order to get married. He's on a mission to do that but also wants to have a baby with her. Somehow they find Tom Brady's house, break in, and try stealing his sperm (hilarious). What's more impossible? A talking teddy bear or trying to steal Tom Brady's sperm? The latter of course lol
It's well enough acted and written funny enough. But the element of originality is gone. Yes I enjoyed it and would see it again, but the first movie was funny because it was original. Hmm I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. Love that it was filmed in Boston too #BostonStrong
I loved this movie for its incredible effort. Not just to live up to the other movies, but to stand out on its own. Even at its most confusing it still beats half the futuristic, action crap out there (I'm talking to you Lucy). Keep reading...
