Fantastic Four

More like Failure Four. This movie was so bad it doesn't even deserve any ratings. It's horrible in the worst way. I wish I had something good to say about it, but I don't. AND there will be sequels? Yet independent filmmakers can't get funding for their future endeavors? OY. This reboot needs a reboot. Maybe I'll work on my own version. LAWD it's gotta be better than this.

The Gift

Awful movie. Huge letdown. The trailer was MUCH better than this twisted mess. No suspense. No scare. Bored. Should win EVERY Razzie it's nominated for. 0 stars out of 5.

Mission Impossible Rogue Nation

Say what you want about Tom Cruise, but at 53 he's still got it. He jumps, runs, and can act with the guys twice as young as him. It doesn't feel like he's trying to prove himself; it feels natural. I've seen all of these movies. This isn't the BEST one but it's up there.

Ant-Man

I will give Ant-Man 4 out of 5 stars. It has Judy Greer, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, and Bobby Cannavale. It gives a nod to the Avengers. It is completely different from any other superhero movie out there and is believable. But it's a bit predictable. I know how it was going to end in the middle of the movie.

Trainwreck

I TRIED as I may to hate Amy Schumer. I thought her "fall" in front of the Wests was dumb. Her quotes are funny though ("I'm about 160 pounds, and I can still catch a d*ck if I want."), but overall not a fan...till I was bored one day after work and saw Trainwreck.

Literally 5 out of 5 stars. The funniest movie I've seen in a very long time. I haven't laughed that hard in awhile. It's basically about a single girl who wants to avoid being taken, but ends up just that. Hilarious and naturally acted. Who knew Bill Hader had a cute bum?

Judd Apatow directed girl version of "Knocked Up."

Magic Mike XXL

No. Just no. Yes Channing Tatum and company are hot (especially Matthew Bomer who got even sexier than the last one), but there's no plot or character development. Even Fifty Shades had a plot. It was very sexy to watch them gyrate, but that wasn't worth the Lux Level money I spent on this movie. Two stars outta five.

Run All Night

This movie about a man (Liam Neeson) trying to protect his son (Joel Kinnaman) from a mob boss sounds interesting...until it begins. I'm giving it 2 out of 5 stars and that's being generous. Keep reading...

Jurassic World

Chris Pratt is beyond hot, but like my woman crush Bryce Dallas Howard he can also act. Judy Greer and Bryce as sisters...let's just say they had me crying at the end.

Jurassic World tries to fix all the mishaps that John Hammond made in the first two then throws us a loop by creating a hybrid dinosaur. People should be running instead of standing, being quiet when they're screaming, and staying at home instead of arriving. Such is a dramatic license I loved this movie better than the first. Why? Because I know what's going to happen I just don't know how.

There are subtle nods to the others (a sheet of glass separating two kids from being eaten, the kids are the heart of the movie, the big footsteps nearby, and the dinosaurs are anything but predictable). I loved this movie and give it 5 out of 5 stars. You wanna see it in the movie theater unless you have a home theater

My only caveat is Bryce ran around the damn park in heels and a skirt...but Chris' giant beautiful bubble butt made up for that.

Because the Dr. from the first one is in this one and got away alive I anticipate a fifth movie...and cannot wait.

Update: even better the second time. I mean the hints about what will happen in the end is shown in the beginning. LOVE this movie.

Spy

Easily 5 out of 5 stars. Here's why; keep reading below...

Poltergeist

Nothing pisses me off more than blatant stupidity. The reason I liked the first Poltergeist is because it was clever and scared the crap outta me as a kid. This one makes me angry. Keep reading...
