Carey Mulligan plays "Cassie" a woman hell bent on revenge against all predatory men after the suicide of her best friend "Nina" following her rape. Cassie goes to bars, pretends to be drunk, goes with the guys home, and then reveals she isn't drunk and humiliates the men. This leads her back to Nina's rapist.
Emerald Fennell ('Camilla Parker-Bowles' from "The Crown") wrote and directed this masterpiece which features so much newness. Cassie's boss at the coffee shop is a black transwoman (Laverne Cox) and it's not an issue. Cassie is suffering for her friend the entire movie. Even though this revenge movie is humiliating for the men she doesn't physically hurt them as most movies might.
I'd give this 4 out of 5. I still don't feel like it ended how I wished it would've.
