JLo plays Ramona, a headlining stripper at a club in NYC. She takes new girl Destiny (Constance Wu) under her wing teaching her stripping, how to read men, and how to enjoy life in general. When the 2008 stock market hits Ramona devises a plan that they would secretly drug the douchebag guys, take their money, and move on. Lemme stress they took money from the douchebags. The sadists and cheaters. Ramona said it best "These guys on Wall Street took millions from hard working individuals...we're just taking it back." Hey don't hate the player, hate the game.
JLo and Constance put in WORK! It wasn't even about stripping (which they did for only like 10% of the film). They ACTED! They created a world I wanted to watch forever. Hardworking moms that wanna do for themselves but mostly their kids...and it's inspired by true events crazy enough.
If you wanna see a good drama go see this. It'll get a few Oscar noms for hair, makeup, adapted screenplay, and I'm PRAYING the JLo and Constance. Actually I'm going to see it twice :D
