Movies the Middle of 2017

Here are my reviews for the movies released during the middle of 2017

Good Movies
"The Promise," "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," "Baywatch," "Alien: Coven," "Spider-man: Homecoming," "Rough Night," "Transformers: The Last Knight," "War for the Planet of the Apes," "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," and " Snatched."

"Wonder Woman" & "Atomic Blonde" were by far my favorite superhero & action films respectively. I love kickass chick movies, but mostly I like STRONG females being smart. These movies DELIVERED! In "Wonder Woman" Gal Gadot plays Diana Prince aka Diana of Themyscira as smart, strong, and a role model for ALL! Directed by Patty Jenkins (director of "Monster") and written by gay screenwriter Allan Heinberg (writer of "Party of Five," "Sex and the City," "Gilmore Girls," "The O.C.," "Grey's Anatomy, "Looking," "Scandal," and "The Catch") the movie works because it's well-written, well-acted, and well-executed. It's not PERFECT like "Marvel's The Avengers" but it comes super close.

In "Atomic Blonde" Agent Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron) is perfectly cast as an operative sent to find her secret lover & colleague's killer but also retrieve a list that will expose every agent in the world. Directed by hottie David Leitch (who co-written & co-directed "John Wick") this movie is action, drama, and a tiny bit comedy. Loved it!!!!

Bad Movies
"The Mummy" TRIED rebooting the original and making it scary, but every since move the characters made was dumb and unrealistic. For example: Woman comes across ancient tomb. "This is not a tomb; it's a prison. Whomever is buried here is pretty evil because of the elaborate traps set to keep them imprisoned." Without provocation or explanation Tom Cruise's character breaks the seal to open the prison. #DAFUQ????

"Nine Lives" about Kevin Spacey being a neglectful dad & husband who dies and comes back in the body of the pet cat he was gifting to his daughter. It was every cliche you can think of.

Disney movies
All have been amazing. I've seen all but recently saw "Anastasia," "The Princess and the Frog,"  "Mulan," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Pocahontas," "Prince of Egypt," and have "Sleeping Beauty," "Beauty & The Beast," "Aladdin," and "The Little Mermaid." I've seen the last four before, but want to refresh my memory of them.

Other movies I've seen are "Sand Castle" with my Henry Cavill, "King Cobra" about gay porn producers, "White Girl" about a Puerto Rican drug dealer who falls for a white girl, "Hands of Stone" the life of Roberto Duran, "Kubo & The Two Strings" AWFUL movie, "The BFG" about a lil girl who finds a giant (awful movie), "The Secret Life of Pets" was not what I expected and I disliked it, "Scorpion King 4" was baaaaad, "Southpaw" was good, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny" was terrible, "Ghost in the Shell" was OK, "Bridget Jones's Baby" was meh, and rewatched "It"...it was NOT scary as an adult. And "War Machine" was good as Brad Pitt played a quirky general.
