Himesh Patel plays Jack Malik, a struggling musician, who is the ONLY PERSON on Earth to remember The Beatles, Coca-Cola, cigarettes, or Harry Potter after a strange 16 second global blackout...or so he thinks. He decides to use all The Beatles songs to gain fame and fortune all the while oblivious to the torch his best friend/manager Ellie (Lily James) has for him.
This brilliant script was written by Richard Curtis (of "Notting Hill," "Four Weddings and A Funeral," and "Love Actually" brilliance) and directed by Danny Boyle ("Slumdog Millionaire," "Trainspotting," and "24 Days"). It's so crisp and funny. I love everything about this movie.
And Himesh is not only a good actor but he can SING!!!!!!!!! Plus Queen Kate McKinnon can do no wrong. For realz!!!
Worth seeing.
