Mad Max: Fury Road

Theatrical release poster
George Miller made cinematic history in my book. Not only did the first three Mad Max movies (1979, 1981, and 1985) to great success but he's done it again. Mad Max: Fury Road is FLAWLESS and easily 5 stars out of 5. Keep reading...
Max (Tom Hardy taking over for Mel Gibson) is a free man whom is captured by the War Boys, boys & men with no body hair shaved heads white paint head to toe and black makeup around their eyes. The War Boys do a few things for King Immortan Joe (ruler of post-apocalyptic Australia): they act as bodyguards, foot soldiers, and in this case blood bag chasers. They capture free men & women, chain them upside down, and drain their blood (why is never explained). Nux (played fearlessly by Nicholas Hoult, the little boy from "About A Boy," zombie movie "Warm Bodies," and Beast/Hank McCoy from X-Men Days of Future Past) captures Max and is responsible for this blood bag till he's dead. Then the unthinkable happens Imperator Furiosa (Charlie Theron at her finest physically & acting wise) decides to not drive the gasoline to its destination, but detours. Nux fights his friend Slit (Josh Helman whom played William Stryker in X-Men Days of Future Past) to be the driver to chase down Imperator Furiosa. Nux of course wants to strap his blood bag Max to the front of his car. And so begins the chase for Furiosa. Why she's doing this and where she's going I won't spoil it. But it's a simple story, easy to follow, and every obstacle gets in their way imaginable.

There is a sweet love story that develops (I won't spoil with whom), but I loved everything about this movie. It's been reported Mad Max: Fury Road is the first movie next up is Mad Max: Furiosa. I cannot wait to see it. Everyone knows I love when women play strong roles. Everyone from Zoe Kravitz to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a strong female character worthy of adoration from all girls. LOVE LOVE LOVE that. Of course Charlize's character is the strongest...and Furiosa is probably the strongest female character I've ever seen in cinema history for so many reasons.

If you want a good summer movie and hate superhero movies or just like action, futuristic movies go see this. You won't be disappointed. The effects, story, acting, and direction are on fleck (I think on fleek sounds weird so I created fleck like flecking the dirt off your shoulder).
