HERStory

If I could give HERStory 20 stars I would. I love everything about it from acting to execution...keep reading!

Co-starring, co-created, co-produced, co-EVERYTHING by openly trans Jen Richards the show features two lead transwomen...who are friends! Jen Richards plays Violet, a transwoman already in a relationship with the Mark played by my long-time crush Josh Wingate. Through the episodes Violet begins to have feelings for her lesbian friend Allie (the other co-Everything Laura Zak). Violet's bff is Paige played by ANOTHER open transwoman Angelica Ross. Paige is every transwoman out there who is strong but fears straight men to a degree even though we still want to end up with one of them. When Paige meets James (Christian Ochoa) her world is turned inside out, but her guard is higher than the Great Wall of China.

This show is groundbreaking because of all the involvements within the LGBTQIA community, but mostly because it's real. We see James and Paige talk about her fears of dating a straight man and his fears of dating a transwoman. We see Violet in a groundbreaking love triangle (straight man, transwoman, lesbian). We see two best friends who HAPPEN to be trans get along and not have competition. We see a lesbian befriending a transwoman. This show should be call HEROnion with all the layers of possibilities created.

What's so funny is two things: 1) Jen was featured on "I Am Cait" when it aired saying she is a transactress coming out with her own show, but I never heard anything else about it until one day I searched for it. 2) the 6 episodes on YouTube are like 10 minutes each. They accomplish in 6 10 minute episodes what most hour long dramas couldn't in 24 episodes. Legit amazing!!!!!!

If you haven't taken a peak please check out HERStory! I guarantee you won't be disappointed, AND you'll be begging for more episodes and Season 2.
