Molly Bloom is the older sister of two time Olympic skier Jeremy "hottie" Bloom. She runs poker games and lives off the tips the guys give her. THAT'S IT! Unfortunately when some of the players are Russian mobsters, Italian mobsters, movie stars, producers, directors, and billionaires the US Government takes notice.
Idris Elba plays Molly's competent lawyer Charlie Jaffey. I loved everything about this movie from the Aaron Sorkin dialogue and timing t the incredible direction. Every character has a place and every move in this script is like watching a chess game. This movie NAILED it! Flashbacks were appropriately timed, humor was too. No character was minor.
I did find myself internally yelling at the screen because of the characters and how they treated her. This was Jessica's Erin Brockovich movie!
If you want good direction, good storytelling, and SUBLIME acting go see this movie. Hell Kevin Costner brought his A game too. What's not to love?
