Far and away the best teen movie EVER! 5 out of 5 stars...flawless movie. Keep reading...

The movie is based on a book called Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. Wunderkind producer/writer/director Greg Berlanti, known for CW's "Supergirl," "Arrow," "The Flash," and the hit gay movie "The Brokenhearts Club." Greg himself is out and married with kids. So it's no surprise he'd tackle this movie.

"Love, Simon" is about a teen named Simon Speer, portrayed masterfully by Nick Robinson. Simon is the oldest of two with a sweet lil sister named Nora, cooking prodigy, and awesome parents played by Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel. Simon has awesome friends Leah, Nick, and Abby. And he seemingly flies under the radar at school, until an anonymous blogger named Blue posts about being gay. Simon immediately identifies with him and secretly contacts him. Blue is the only person Simon comes out to. And so begins Simon's journey.

Jennifer breaks my heart once again reminding me of Miracles from Heaven, but both she  and Josh as Nick's parents not only physically fit the parts BUT each have qualities of his acting he displays. Nick carries this movie on his shoulders. You almost forget he was in Jurassic World because the characters are so different! And the supporting cast is brilliant. The writing and direction are so detailed and leave no stone unturned. When it picks up a stone, you see what's under. If you don't see now you see later. LOVED THIS MOVIE!

I saw parts of my own life growing up openly gay and black in a white town and part fantasy of how I wish my life would've gone AND even parts of my life how it was coming out as transgender as an adult. This movie worked on every single level.

You will love this movie. It's funny, romantic, sweet, and heartfelt all at the same time. I cannot wait to see this movie again and again. So far best movie of 2018, and my top 20 fave movies of all-time.

Ps the movie changed lives. Only a few weeks before the premiere one of the cast members came out as bisexual. The impact of this movie has already begun...
