The show even has Bradley Cooper guest star as Eddie Morra (his character in the original movie). Hill Harper is Rebecca's partner Spelman with Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio portraying their boss Naz. But I cannot forget the lil scene stealers that are Brian's "bodyguards" whom he nicknamed Mike & Ike (Michael James Shaw & Tom Degnan respectively). Keep reading
This show works on so many levels. Jake is perfectly cast as an extension of Eddie (played perfectly in the movie by Eddie). I love that they decided to write a continuation instead of remake. Like Eddie Brian is a bit of a joke within his family. Unlike Eddie Brian helps on many missions and we see him using NZT more for humanistic reasons over Eddie's wish to gain nice stuff. Brian is likable; Eddie is tolerable. I guess that's the main difference.
Hopefully CBS gives this show a second season. If you have seen the movie and liked it you will love the series (kinda like Minority Report).
