Scream Queens

This is the craziest new show to hit US TV brought to you by Ryan Murphy and the creative team from "Glee," "American Horror Story," and "Nip/Tuck"...and I love it. Keep reading.
Emma Roberts leads as Chanel Oberlin (aka Chanel #1) the President of Kappa Kappa Tau sorority on the fictional Wallace College. She's Regina George from "Mean Girls" who went to College. She has underlyings called the Chanels: Chanel #2 (Sonya Herfmann played by Ariana Grande), Chanel #3 (First name not revealed but played by Billie Lourd - Carrie Fisher's daughter), there isn't a Chanel #4, Chanel #5 (Libby Putney played by Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin), and Hester Ulrich (wanna be Chanel pledge played by a very geekafied Lea Michele...basically Joan Cusack's physicality from "Sixteen Candles" mixed with Rachel Berry). While getting new pledges for their sorority a serial killer dressed as a Red Devil starts picking off pledges and sisters alike. This all links back to a 20 year death at the sorority house involved a sister dying after birthing a baby in a bathtub during a sorority social. Jamie Lee Curtis is the dean of the school whom was the Den mother at the time of the death. The question for the show becomes who's the Red Devil, how many are there, and whatever happened to the baby in the bathtub?

Sounds complicated but it's deliciously funny and crazy especially when you add in Niecy Nash as the hilarious security guard. Nick Jonas and Glen Powell bring the hot funny factor as Boone Clemmens and Chad Radwell respectively. They are members of the fraternity Dickie Dollar Scholars with Chad as President and Chanel's boyfriend. Everyone is bringing their A game. Yes Nick & Glen are hot, but they can actually act. As well as Emma, Lea, and the rest. Emma rightly deserves an Emmy nod (although she won't win).

The storyline and situations are over-the-top obviously but very enjoyable, the acting is superb...and the clothing. WOW! Lou Eyrich (who has designed all the costumes for most of Ryan Murphy's productions especially American Horror Story) needs an Emmy. Sorry I digress.

Check it out. According to Ryan all but a few cast members will survive. Next season will be a new locale with a new murder mystery. It's on a winter finale, but apparently the ratings are bad but on Halloween there was an FX marathon I know three people who watched it. All three loved it after the marathon. Check it out on-demand if you can. You will really like it. It's one of the best shows you aren't watching.

Update: The season finale was both out of control but funny. Emma Roberts nailed it. I love this show...And Glen Powell's bum was on full display (fans self)
